Synopsis

This book is specifically intended for undergraduate and graduate students to study traditional control theory. Of course, basic knowledge of mathematics and physics is required to understand the material in this book.

The material in this book consists of A Brief History of the Development of Control Engineering, Mathematical Model of Physical Systems, Laplace Transformation, TRANSFER FUNCTION MODEL, SYSTEM BOX CHART, SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION, SYSTEM RESPONSE, SYSTEM STABILITY ANALYSIS, COMPENSATOR DESIGN, CONTROL DESIGN, and DC Motor Position Control. The discussion of control is focused on PID control with the implementation of corner control. Several control methods are presented in this book, including Proportional, Integral, Integral Proportional, Derivative Proportional and Integral Derivative Proportional controls.
